Universal Studios Hollywood Fire: King Kong and Back to the Future Destroyed

| A major fire broke out in pre-dawn hours of June 1st, quickly racing through the New York back lot area of Universal Studios Hollywood. The King Kong attraction as well as the famous Courthouse Square area (used in Back to the Future) were destroyed or severely damaged. The historic New York Street sets were also lost.
